The Albany Quail Project was established in 1992 by the school of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences at Auburn University. From the beginning it has been a cooperative between the University and the private quail hunting plantations in the Albany area of southwest Georgia. The stated objectives are to conduct research, monitoring, and management activities that will enhance our knowledge of wild quail ecology, management, and hunting; and to share this information with anyone desiring to obtain it throughout the range of the bird.
