My research focuses on the carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus cycling in wetland ecosystem. I mainly use the quantitative model to address the biogeochemical cycling of these elements and their responses to global change. Currently I am working on one project which aims to evaluate the role of fire on phosphorus dynamics in water, soil and plant of Everglades, one famous National Park of USA. One model has been built for this project and preliminary results have been produced. This work will help make management decisions regarding restoration of phosphorus-enriched wetland ecosystem through national processes or accelerated processes, especially prescribed |
