The School maintains the most modern research and teaching facilities on the Auburn campus, having moved into a 110,000 sq. ft. facility in 2005. Field research and education are also important in the School. The 5,300 acre Solon Dixon Forestry Education Center is an outstanding school forest that provides an exceptional summer field experience for our students, and other education and outreach opportunities during the remainder of the year. Additionally, there are over 4,000 acres managed as research and demonstration forests that provide a variety of forested ecosystems for our faculty needs.
